Robert Benjamin Hill

	Robert Benjamin Ben Hill, 62, of DuQuoin, passed away at 5:50 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2001 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Marion.
	Ben had been an employment service representative for the Illinois Employment Security and had worked for Freeman Coal Co.  He was a member of the Church of Christ of DuQuoin.  He wa a U.S. Army veteran, serving as a counter-intelligence agent.  He was one of the founding fathers of Five Star Industries in DuQuoin.  He had served as president of the DuQuoin Khoury League.  He was an avid DuQuoin Sports Fan.  He had served as a republican precinct committeeman.  He was a member of the DuQuoin American Legion and was an Am Vet member.  He was a graduate of Arkansas State University.
	 He was born September 8, 1938 at DuQuoin, the son of William Clarence and Madge Opal (Halstead) Hill.  He married Loretta Ann Davis on August 26, 1966 at Bay, Arkansas and she survives.
	He is survived by his wife of DuQuoin; four daughters, Angela Beth Weathers and husband James Edward of Ft. Campbell, Ky., Susan Emily Hill of Peoria, Laura Jo Hill of Nashville, Tenn. and Brooke Ann Hill of DuQuoin; one brother, Dwight Hill and wife Sandra of DuQuoin and one sister, Vivian Gross of DuQuoin.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
	Funeral services were at 10 a.mm. Wednesday, March 21 at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Bro. Wayne Dinkins and Bro. Gordon Cobb officiating.
	Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home.
	 Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery at DuQuoin.
